Southdown Rovers 1-0 Lindfield Juniors
What a pleasure this is to write this week.
Say It Slowly. L E A G U E C U P W I N N E R S . Now say it again even slower. Now shout
YAY!!!!!!!!!
Boys, What a fantastic performance today! Oh, and the result wasn't bad either. Well done.
You saved you're best against Lindfield until today. If there was one game to win against them,
today was it. Well Done! Well done also to George Brown for MoM and Deano for Southdown MoM.
Every boy played their part today! Those boys that were playing gave their all, and those boys that
were in the dugout played their part cheering the team on. I hope that you all enjoyed yourselves.
Your attitude today was spot on. We fought for the ball from the Refs whistle, and never gave up.
The boys who played up front dropped and helped out, those in midfield did what they were asked and
fought and tussled for the ball, and the four boys who played at the back kept a clean sheet. Kevin
and I could not ask for any more from you. You all played your part, and deserved to win the match.
Lindfield looked nervous from the kick-off and you never let them settle.
The good thing is that we now finish the season having beaten Lindfield- we have no more games where
they can try and get revenge. What we need to focus on now is second place in the league. It is there
for us to take. Our next game is against Crawley Down on the 15th April 2007, at home. Lets put the
pressure on those teams below us by ensuring that we pick up the points.
As Winston Churchill ( you must know him - if you don't ask your mum or dad) possibly said 'EVERY MAN DID
HIS DUTY TODAY'. Congratulations again. You did Kevin and I and your parents proud today. Enjoy the rest
of the weekend and we will see you at training on Wednesday. (not too sure where yet as the Triangle is
finished and we haven't been given a time or venue or in fact day yet)
SLEEP WELL!
